Recipe and a fun little survey

Here is the fry bread recipe Valerie requested. You can click on it to see it bigger. Okay I lied...sorry! It really doesn't get much bigger than that, so I hope your eyes are good or you best be getting out the magnifying glass. :o) It really shouldn't be called "Indian" fry bread since it's not a traditional Indian recipe, but that's okay. I had 2 Indian sister live with me while we were teenagers and they would make the traditional fry bread complete with the fancy hand tossing that I can't do. It was very yummy too. I was too tired to type the whole thing so I scanned this from a recipe swap I was in several years back. (no teasing...it was a few years ago) The only thing I would change is that I use more like 9+cups of flour and it's still very sticky dough, but if you roll it out on a floured surface it's easy to work with.

On a different note I got to thinking about this whole cool blogging world and wanted to do a little survey just for fun. I want you all to post a comment and tell me how exactly you found my blog and where you are from. I'm just curious...nothing sick or morbid....honest! I just think it's neat that I've got all these new friends and lurkers out there. Anyone game??? Come on...you know you want to. :o)

Hi Jolene ... I found your blog either through a comment you left on Ali Edward's Blog or Heidi Swapp's blog ... honestly I'm not sure which. I'm from Gum Spring, VA. We are right smack dab in the middle of Richmond and Charlottesville.

By the way ... thank you for the recipe ... I'll have to try this.

Like many of the other ladies, I don't remember whose blog I was reading when I came across a link to you but I'm fairly certain the reference was related to concern about Brittany's pregnancy. I'm glad everything is working out and that Mark is home now. I live in Mountain View, CA (near San Francisco).

Hi Jolene,
I'm from the UK but spending a few months in California. I also can't remember how I stumbled upon your blog, but know it was maybe back in May and I enjoyed reading about an American family whilst I prepared for my trip over here, and I ended up hooked :) I guess it's about time I said hi!

I found your blog from a comment you left on the Bazzill Blog. And I found the Bazzill Blog from the Creative Escape Website, that was back in July,so I am very new to the blog world and still VERY AMAZED at it all. In fact I kind of cringe whenever I link to another person's blog because I am already reading about a dozen, and I don't know how I will have time to be addicted to MORE. So I consider your blog my 1ST BLOG because even though the Bazzill Blog is a great/informative blog it is not the traditional blog about one person and their family/loved ones/experiences.

AND, I am the girl from YUMA! I have been meaning to email you so that I could go into detail about myself but I have been out of town the last 2 weekends and just have not sat down to do it. I LOVED the shout out the other day! I ran over to my coworker yelling, "One of my blog ladies referred to me!" Made my day...silly I know, but it did!
:-)

Actually, I googled your name. I was googling different family members names. This is the most interesting result. I'm not a regular reader, only when I'm bored and decide to re-google.

I found your blog through a comment left on someone else's blog...like most of your other readers, I can't remember which site. I used your list of blogs that you read to find others that I enjoy, too. I enjoy your crafts and scrapbooking ideas as well as reading about your family. I live in the Tacoma area in Washington state.

I found it through another site. I don't remember which one. I am sure it was a comment you left somewhere - let's see - where Have I been? Ethnic Scrapbooking is one blog I frequent quite often and then use her list to go to other sites, and then there is Melody Ross' site - incredible. Anyhow, I find your pages appeal to me. I don't sew on my pages though. I am a very simple scrapper. Very few embelishments. Perhaps I will evolve. Perhaps not. I enjoy your blog - thank you.

PS - Oops I forgot one or two things - I am from Minnesota and I think you are so gifted. You share so much - recipes, organizing ideas, layouts, stories, and I really love your tag line or whatever it is - about the nuts in the family tree....

Cannot remember where I found your blog, but it was through another blog as I surfed one time, and now I read it all the time and yes I am a lurker, although I have posted once or twice. You are such an incredible mom and mother in law. You always treat others so respectfully as if that is how you would want to be treated!

I live in Phoenix, just north of you!
