Tuesday's happenings

Today was Brittany's dad's birthday and she wanted to make him a scrapbook page he could put on his bulletin board at work. We both worked on it together. It's a lot like the one I did for Carter. Brek and Brittany had dinner with her family tonight and she said he loved it.A close up of the layout
Do you see what I see??? Yup! Those are fishies...just like the cute little one Mark had while he was in the NICU. Jen sent it to him. Wasn't that just the sweetest thing ever?! Thank you so much Jen! We all appreciate your kindness. I'm getting batteries in the morning for it. He is going to be one happy baby!

Okay...here is the Christmas card design that I finally decided on. It was such a frustrating thing when I hated everything I did. This one I can live with. I so love Chatterbox paper. I picked up the valentine ones today appropriately called the Love shack...so dang cute! It's still a lot of stinking work when you think of making 240 of them...1 down...239 to go. :o) Not to mention the fact that I still need to take pictures and order 240 wallet size prints and write a cute little message inside. Anyone interested in card making assembly line work??? Didn't think so! :o)
I almost forgot...tonight me, Mark, Rodney (Marks brother), & Cam (Rodneys wife) went out for a motorcycle ride. We noticed a car behind us swerving and hitting the curbs on both sides and he almost hit us. We forced him to stop and Rodney asked him if he was okay and told him how he was driving, then the guy took off. He reeked of alcohol. We called the police and described the car and told them the direction he was heading. We wish we could have gotten his keys away from him. I hope the police caught him before he hurt someone. The thought of a drunk driver on the road makes me sick.
Okay...you know you're up to late when your eyes are burning and it hurts to see.

Just curious if Cam rides her own bike?? I would love to see pics of her if she does.
Yeah on the fishy thing...I knew you would get one..Great to have someone see how much you wanted it and send it to you.
I bet most of the 250 cards go to relatives...you both have so many!!

You can never post too many pic of the baby....

Congrats on being a good samaritan!!

Oh my goodness Jolene - I LOVE your card. I think I am taking the plunge and doing handmade cards this year also. May have to somewhat lift that design in a Rusty Pickle sort of way.

Love all the cute pictures of baby Mark. He is so cute !!! And Brittany and Brek just make the cutest parents. You can just tell that they are going to be a happy forever family.

The layout looked great! And I love your Christmas card design. I wish I could do that but just don't have the time with my three little ones. Maybe one day!

Holy Chicken Balls, Batman! 240 Christmas Cards! Yikes! That must get a line item on the family budget! It is a very cute card though, love how you are bringing out the poinsettas in the print with the nice big one that I know the boys will willing (wink, wink) help their mom punch our with the Quickutz. I also am a little jealous that you already have your hands on the BasicGrey Christmas ornaments. I went to my LSS on Saturday to purchase them and they had not arrived yet! :-( I think I will call right now to see if they are in.

Yaaa! Blogger is finally allowing me to leave a comment. It hasn't let me in the comments section on certain blogs for days. The gift you and Brittany made for her father is absolutely beautiful. What a thoughtful gift! Baby Mark is such a precious little boy and the Fishy Toy is so cute! It will give him hours and hours of relaxing fun. I just love the Christmas Card you have designed ... are you really going to make 240 of them? Oh my gosh if you are I'd get those boys of yours to help. It just makes me so mad to see drunk drivers on the road ... I really hope the police were able to catch them.

It's idiots like that on the road that kill innocent people.
Never them, just the innocent ones.

I hope Mark likes his fishes...I'm so glad it arrived safely. It's heavy!! And when you put batteries in it, oh lord secure it tight on the crib, LOL. My son loved it, glad to see someone else be able to use it as baby stuff is so costly.

Oh, forgot...how did you get that small strip of photos for the bottom of that layout?

No wonder he loved that page - I do too! And the Christmas cards - I'm not quite that crafty (yet). I've done some Mother's Day and Birthday cards, but I haven't gotten the nerve to try the ones for the holidays yet. But you look like you're an old pro!
