We found a home

We have weighed many options and have decided on renting the house out in Maricopa. I feel at peace with that decision even though change is very hard for me. I forgot that I took a few pictures the first night we drove out there. Here is the kitchen and the loft, which would be my new scraproom. This one is big enough for me to share it with Mark's office and even have a TV up there for the boys to play video games or watch sports. Plus I can have people over to scrap. In my room now I only have room for 1 guest, so it will be fun to have a few at a time over. Here is a link to the floorplan so you can see the layout of the house. Here is also a link to a virtual tour. It doesn't show 2 of the bathrooms, the laundry room, the large pantry or the garage but you can see where they are on the floorplan link. This house is almost $1000 less a month than my house now. Wev'e discovered that it's much cheaper to live out of town. This will be a huge blessing to us. It's going to be strange living in a town that doesn't even have a Wal-Mart, but it does have 2 grocery stores and plenty of fast food places. Brek, Brittany and the babies were going to live with us again, but tonight they decided to live with her parents for 2 more months then get an apartment. I can't blame them for wanting a place of their own. So now the 3 boys will each have their own bedroom. They have never had this before so let me just say that they were SO excited at the thought of this. It was pretty cute!
Now to start packing. This is move #32 for me. It never gets any easier. In fact I think it gets harder because we have way more stuff. It's a bit overwhelming!

Jolene,
I am so happy for you! You have been on my mind a lot! I was up late scrapping and came over to see what has been going on...and I almost screamed out loud...glad I didn't...or I wouldn't be scrapping anymore tonight...just taking care of the baby that I would have woke up! LOL
Congrats to you and Mark! See it looks like the positives are already starting to be recognized...everyone with their own bedroom, a new scraproom...
I took the tour and it is beautiful!@ Can't wait to see what decorating you do on the inside! Take care! (hugs)

Hi Jolene, I'm so glad you and your family found a house.... I know first hand it is not easy when there is so much uncertainty to where you will live... We experienced the same thing back in Sept.05 when Rita totaled our home... One good thing is you didn't have to worry about finding a home when 1000's of other people were also looking.... The pictures look great and I can't wait to see what you do with it...

It's also going to be so nice for all of the boys to have their own rooms... Our kids no longer share and it is great.... Everyone really needs their own space...

Take care girl and make sure to get some well deserved rest... All of us bloggers Love YOU.... Teresa

Jolene, your new home looks wonderful! Once you add your touch and love it will be perfect.

I know moving is difficult...hard work actually. Wish I lived closer and could lend a hand. Just take one day at a time and take care of Jolene!

Big Hug to You, Andi

They house looks/sounds awesome. I know in no time at all you will make it "yours". (I won't complain about my 4 moves--32!!!) Like Teresa said, "all of us bloggers love you" and we wish the best for you and your family. {{{{Jolene}}}}

Love the look of the new house and glad to hear you're feeling positive about it. How I'd love to have that much space - houses in the UK are much smaller than the US. I look forward to seeing it once you've moved in and made it your home! Try not to overdo it with all the packing (easier said than done, I know!!)

I am so happy that you have come to a peaceful decision. We live 35-40 miles outside of the city too. And we have grown to love it. I had to get used to not going to Walmart everyday, but it is not bad now at all. We have our local grocery store and dollar store so we make it fine. Since it is a rental house, will you get to paint it like you like it?

Jolene, The house is beautiful! I am so happy you are at peace and this option was available to you at such short notice. I have been praying for you as you go thru this. We had just moved from our house at the lake when you came to Tx, so I know how your heart feels. I know in NO time you will have it so comfy and homey for you and your family. Love you,

Wow, it's BIG!
Were you renting the house you are in now? 1,000 savings a month is quite a bit.

Goodluck, moving sucks! You've moved 32 times...omg!

What a beautiful house, the tour was awesome to see. While moving packing etc can be a big drag here's hoping the excitment of putting your personal touch into the house will take over. Can't wait to see what you do.

Jolene, you want to hear something funny? My husband and I live in a Pulte home too. We love it! It is a loft, so not as traditional of a home as what you will have, but the builder is very reputable! I work for a competitor of Pulte and I can tell you from experience that you will be living in a quality home, perfect for your family! Congratulations on this new exciting adventure and for the opportunities that await you in your new home. A house is just a house, but the people inside and the memories you make together turn that house into a home. Keep us posted! I have said a little prayer for you!

i LOVE THAT KITCHEN!!!! omgorsh, it's just the bomb!!

it would be weird, not having a Wal-Mart or Target near! but the place looks very nice, and you'll make it into a cozy nest in no time. not only that, but with each of your boys having their own room, well, that should cut your stress level considerably..not as much squabbling!

but move #32?! sheesh - you beat Brendan by a whole lot, girlie!!

They say you should move at least every 5 years to get rid of all the junk we accumulate!!! I think you have got that down pat LOL.

Goodluck moving.

Wow! I have never lived in anything so BIG! Did I mention ot is BIG!! Wow.
It looks really pretty too. It seems like the perfect blank canvas to decorate and make your own. I used to have to either UNdo awful things or live with other's choices. Yuck. A blank canvas like you have will be such fun! I wish more of us were closer so we could help! Short notice is tough but you have loads of help in the boys I am sure. They will love it, especially having their own rooms.
And, did I mention how BIG it is!!?? *laugh* I think I could fit 12 of my house inside yours! *laugh*
Soon you will be settled and happily making it yours. Then the new memories will be made.
Wishinbg you many blessings in your new home.
Love and hugs,
Sue

Great house Jolene! We live in canada. No comparison I know but your boys will miss the place you live at first but..... mine love living in the country and having "boy" stuff that city kids can't have because of the space! We are about 15 mins from town which is closer than you from town but even at the short distance you just plan your days. You'll do great and the boys trust me after a bit will love it!!
