Sorry...:o(

Sorry I didn't blog last night. I wanted to, but didn't want to be a downer. My emotions have been a mess. Chad leaves for Fort Bragg Saturday morning and the closer it gets here the more my stomach hurts. Why can't I be stronger? He's been at the base for the better part of the past few days, in trainings and briefings...just getting his stuff ready to go. I feel robbed of what precious time we do have with him. Really all we have left is this evening and that's it. Tonight he wants frybread for his last dinner and his favorite pudding cake, so I will gladly make it for him. I have LOTS to do today, but I will share more with you all later. Time to hit the showers...in speedy fashion since we still don't have a new water heater. It stays hot long enough for me to take a quick shower, but not long enough to shave my legs...and shaving off goose bumps just doesn't sound good to me.
P.S. If you've emailed me and haven't got a response yet, I haven't forgotten about you....honest!

Good heavens, no truck AND no hot water heater? Cruds!

You know what? Just cry and cry sweetie, it will make your stomach feel so much better...it's OK to be sad, or feel whatever you need to, especially in the shower (no one will ever know) and it's OK to fall apart sometimes, then you can come back stronger and enjoy yourself for the time you do have left with him...you're his mommy...we already know you're strong!

Big hugs and kisses to you...

I know it's hard to be strong but you can do it. Tell him "Thank You" from one of your blog buddies for what he's doing for our country. And thank you Jolene, for raising a son who is willing to go.

Oh Jolene, I don't know how you manage it but as a Mum you don't have a choice. Cry when you need to because bottling it up makes you feel worse. Our prayers are with your family and with Chad.

Jolene,
I am praying for you and your family! You are strong...stronger than you think...it just never seems like it when we are going through difficult times.
God gives us strength beyond measure and He is always with us!
Tell Chad we are proud of him and for what he stands for...and tell him thank you for his willingness to defend us and our freedom! And like Telah said earlier...yes, THANK YOU for raising a child who is committed and loyal to that cause! You have done a great job!
Hang in there!

First...Our Father will keep watch over Chad... and over you and Mark and your beautiful family. We are all keeping Chad and you and your family in our prayers...

Secondly, don't ever feel the need to explain or aplogize for having a down day... we take you as you are and we are in this ride with you... including those times that you aren't as up as usual. No one is 'perky' 24/7... so know that you are safe here with us..

Peace be with you...

Oh, I'm so sorry, Jolene. I can only imagine how hard this is for you. I hope you're able to have a nice evening tonight and a wonderful dinner. It sounds divine!! Mind sharing the recipes? LOL Sorry about your water heater. We had that problem a couple years ago. Before we were able to get it fixed, we just took baths and heated water up in pans on the stove, so I was able to shave my legs that way. Otherwise, I would have gone hairy and not shaved goosebumps either!! LOL Have a good day. Keep your chin up. Pray for strength. Heavenly Father will watch over your boy. (HUGS)

Hi Jolene,
I am an "old" high school friend of Sue's. Have done my blog for a little while now-but have decided (or finally learned) to look up new blogger buddies.

After reading some of your blog, I honestly have some tears streaming done my cheek, but also have realized that you and your family are strong and close.

Chad has the love of his family. He will do fine. Mom just needs to take care of herself also in the process *smile*.

God bless to you and your family and especially Chad.
