phone repair and salt & pepper

I went to Michaels today to pick up some jewel-it glue because my friends daughter dropped my phone a few times, so I had to do some repair work and glue back on more swarovski crystals. Now looking at the picture I see that I still have a couple more to do. Mainly the corners were really messed up. It should be dry and ready to use tomorrow. While looking for glue I found this way cute salt and pepper shaker set that was 30% off, so of course I had to get them...so cute and cheap...plus it's a nice addition to my collection. I seriously love salt and pepper shakers.
Here is a little better picture of my wall. I re-took the picture in the day time. Still dark, but better. I sure love it!
Mark called me up today to tell me that him and the guys (biker friends) were going to Tia Rosa's for dinner. He did it just to rub it in and get to me. He's such a stinker! I showed him and took Cody and Cole a half an hour before they went. It was fun to visit and eat with my little boys. Kyle was at a basketball game, so he didn't go with us.
What does one watch on TV when American Idol isn't on? I watched Reba....yep, I like it...just a cute show! Now I'm headed to bed to with the remote to watch the food network. If I can't eat this late at least I can watch people making good food. I'm down a total of 5 pounds...slow progress, but still progress. It would help if I'd stop eating these candy cane kisses. I have quite a nice stash of them....so good!
I'm not sure why exactly, but I've been in a good mood today. I just chose to be happy and had a smile all day. Mark did fix my toilet today, so now I don't have to stick my hand in the tank all the time...so glad about that. Blessings come in strange ways. :o)

I'm glad to hear that your spirits are UP!

RE: food, I know what you mean. It's late, and I would luv another Pepperidge Farms choco. chip cookie, but since I didn't work out today, I won't.

Is Tia Rosa's better than Aunt Chilada's?

Hi Jolene,
My name is Sherry DeRose and I'm from Wisconsin... I'm a huge fan of Donna Downey's. Was on there reading the other day & I came across your blog. Clicked into and WOW!!!, You are such a neat gal. If I lived in Mesa we'd be friends!!! I think your family is so neat... My heart goes out to you with Chad being in the service. I have friends with their children in there too. Litle baby Mark is so cute, so glad things are looking up for the little guy...I'm 41 and married to Larry for 19 years, we have 1 son Michael who will turn 18 in March...You are such a wonderful inspiration for all of your cooking & baking you do. I also do catering on the side, as well as running cleaning business. I too enjoy my church and church family... My family is in the south (Mississippi, Kentucky) & far up-north. Don't get to see them as often as I wish... I envy you for having a large family with always someone around. I just love Southern Hospitality... We have alot of staff that's from the south at church, and when I first started to make "sweet tea", they just couldn't belive that we knew how to make that up here... too funny... I've loved ready your entire blog, it is so nicely done & put together beautifully, I've read quite afew... You have made the nicest cards & layouts... You sure have a talent for this... I just loved your painted santa's & snowmen, too cute... I just love all of the detail you put into them. I've been scrapping & stampin for about 17 years now, started when Michael was just a baby. Wish I knew then what I know now.... I'd be Ms. Stampin-Up , or Ms. Creative Memories... I just think Donna Downey is the neatest person & she just rocks!!! I see you got to meet Heide Swapp, you lucky dog!! She 's a great inspiration too!! Being in WI, Donna & Alie have been here only once (2hours away though), already had plans on those weekends, couldn't get out of it...
I too just started back on my weight loss journey...am down juyst under 4#'s in 2 weeks... Went back to Weight Watchers. Loosing weight stinks... I think it would be so much easier if I didn't cook so often for everything. I cook for a 90 - 100 people every Wed night at church, we have a meal before bible study & classes... I love it, it's so much fun...
You the 1st person that I'v really ever written to on a blog, besides comments to Donna, some of my favorite scrap ladies...
Our weather today was 30, felt nice. I don't like it so bitter cold. I see you were 30's last week, & were cold... I feel sorry for you when you really are not use to having it so cold. Glad you have the fire place in working order. I have clients who have 2nd homes in (oh brain freeze) Arizona... I know they are on the golf course.
Well, it was nice chatting to you, hope to hear from you when you have a minute...
Blessings,
Sherry
Oh..P.S. LOVE your scrap room, mines is part of our family room, would love to have a whole complete room for it, maybe when Michael goes to college this fall, I'll set his room up down there instead...

P.S.S. What's the saying behind the "George" words on your plaque??

Want to email me??

Sparkle Girl Jolene!!! Wow...I don't believe I've ever seen a phone quite like that. You're such a "girlie girl" but then with all the males in your household you have to be!!!

Looks like you have a new blogger fan in Sherry DeRose. She obviously see's you're an amazing person like the rest of us see in you.

Oh gosh my two favorite Mexican food places mentioned in the same blog (or comments) I love Tia Rosa's for me its always the Fish Tacos...or the salmon and shrimp tacos I should say! And then your friend Valerie comments about El Farolito's where it has to be the carnitas..only the BEST ever, maybe I can talk DH into heading therre tonight. Tia Rosa's has to wait until my next business trip to Mesa.

I love the phone - I've been tempted to do the "bling" thing to mine, but I've been too chicken!

And congratulations on the weight "release" - that's good progess!

(And, also, ditto on Reba - I just "discovered" it, and it's really a cute show.)

Not sure if I mentioned it before but you had me on a huge hunt looking for those darn candy cane kisses. I did find them and we polished off a whole bag over Christmas. The problem is that I still have 2 bags in my cupboard. They are unopened so that keeps me from snacking on them while trying so hard to avoid junk. If hubby came home and saw they were opened he would laugh and declare that the kisses had beaten me! Not a chance, but oddly enough when I walk by THAT cupboard I hear "eat me! eat me!" I whisper back: "noo" every time. Kind of a joke now. It's possible the kisses have driven me to go insane...
