It's done :o)

I finally finished my altered family picture wall. I ran out of printer ink and had to run to Wal-Mart to get more so I could print the pictures. I never leave the house without makeup, but I thought I could run in and out quick and no one would see me, but NOPE! I ran into a girl I haven't seen in a long time...perfect! ...sigh...oh well...
Anyways, I printed and matted the pictures in red, white and blue then cut them down to size so they would fit in the window panes. (11X11) I also decided to flip the whole thing upside down because it's hanging in a spot right off the stairs and I was tired of Mark saying
"someone's going to put an eye out on that thing"
So we removed and flipped the hardware and re-hung it. Now you can walk downstairs with out the fear of losing an eye. I know it looks crooked in the picture, but it's straight, I swear! I also don't know why the pictures are so dark. It really looks so much better in person. In the first pane it's me and Mark, then Brek, Brittany and baby Mark, then the whole family, then Kyle, Cody and Cole, then Chad and Sandy. I also hung 2 rustic stars on each side that I got on clearance the day after Christmas....so dang cute! I love it!
Now about American Idol....Oh my crud! It's both hilarious and painful to watch. I laughed so hard the past 2 nights that my face hurts. I don't know about you, but I wish I could do that cowardly lion thing that girl did on Tuesday night....it was just too funny!

This is the cutest thing Jolene! It looks wonderful! LOVE that room...you are a master crafter/decorator!

It is Murphy's Law!! If I go out wothout make up, I WILL see someone...always. If I spend hours (Like I ever have! *ha*) getting ready NO ONE I know will see me.
Thanks for that chuckle!

AI is always so funny the first week isn't it? I always laugh so hard!

Take care...OH! I just finished Chad's box. It goes in tomorrow's mail~!
Love and hugs,
Sue

That is one of the most awesome things I have ever seen! I love it! The name above it and the vine...just beautiful! You are very creative...I would have never thought of something like that and the stars just really add that apecial little touch! Great job Jolene!
As far as AI...let me just say that tonight I sat there in disbelief most of the time and laughed so hard...thinking do these people really think they can sing? And why doesn't someone who loves them tell them the truth?
Have a great evening and take care!

Gorgeous my dear...I just love it! And the stars are the perfect additions to the side of the window/picture frame...and no one's going to get hurt...

I haven't watched the Idol show since the first one, and I just love the auditions...they are too funny! It's good to hurt the face from laughing.

I just love this ... you are so creative and talented! I didn't watch American Idol the other night ... maybe I will DVR it next week so I can keep up with what's going on. I did DVR Nashville Star ... haven't watched it yet though.

It looks great and I love the stars on either side.

I haven't watched American Idol yet either but my husband was able to download it so I can see it. The show I am most looking forward to is Lost. I'm really hooked on that one.

That looks great! Love it!

I'm still cringing at the thought of the cowardly lion one, that was just so completely terrible!

This is so cute, I love it. Could you come to my house and paint and decorate? Please. My house is all white and very very boring. Everytime I talk about painting my husband freaks out. I would love to paint my kitchen.

Why is it when you don't want to be seen it happens. When I happen to be looking good, I won't see anyone I know. OH WELL.

I can't watch Idol, I don't like to watch Simon hurt peoples feelings. I can't even watch judge Judi. She is soooo mean.

Great Project, Jolene! It looks so good and I LOVE your red walls. I want to do red in my house but I'm afraid to. That's just a fear that I'll have to overcome.

AI is awesome...some really funny ones last night!

That frame is so pretty.. it looks really good. Great job as always!

I agree about AI.. especially last night. I laughed so hard at that poor software engineer guy that sang Unchained Melody, and when he told Ryan "that's all I have to say about that" I about fell off the couch. Okay Forrest. LOL

That looks fantastic! I want you to come and decorate my house! ;)

OMGosh! I was PIMP when she did that lion thing! That was great! I have laughed a lot the last two nights too! There are some seriously weird people in this world!

Yeah, I agree about some of the people on Idol this season. The "cowardly lion" girl was strange enough - but last night was even worse! Very odd!
Your wall looks great! Love it!

It looks great. I love how you've used color in your house - so bold! We tried to paint our bedroom at another house a dark red, but no one told us to use a primer first - it took so many coats!

Wow the frame looks awesome, you have one creative/talented mind there! OMGoodness the cowardly lion girl couldn't ya just see her up there singing with Carrie Underwood ;-)

I was sad for the girl last night who said her husband didn't support her in this but her little boy did, the judges were so nasty to her :-(

Wow! The family picture wall is AMAZING! You did such an awesome job! Doesn't it feel great to be done and just sit back and admire it!?

ROFL - I loved the cowardly lion girl too. So funny!! I actually HATE these first few weeks when they show all the bad people. I just feel so sorry for them and the awful comments they're going to hear from the judges. I seriously can't believe they only have 14 people so far for Hollywood, though!! Crazy!!!

Love your pictures!! Such a cute way to display them!! I'm the same as you. I think I'll run to pick up my kindergartner or a really fast errand and I look bad. Always when you'll run into someone you know!! LOL

Fun reading your blog... and your past posts.
Hey, just thought I'd pick your brain... what are your favorite East Valley scrap stores?
Thanks!

Wow! You're quite the decorator! This really looks wonderful. I'm actually considering posting a "decorating challange" on my blog to get suggestions on how to "stage" or decorate a little school desk I have. It looks so bare with just a school book and wooden apple. I bet you and Sue would both have wonderful ideas for me!!!

Love watching AI!!! I'm not as glued to it right now as I will be once they get to California and try out for "real". But some of this stuff is pretty funny.

You are very creative. Love the idea of the family shelf.

American Idol is a hoot this year. The "cowardly lion"? Umm. I felt sorry for the guy that Simon made fun of his bugged eyes. :(

Seattle must not have talented singers.

Take Care,
Terri

I think I need to do something like that too! I love it. So family focused. And those stars are sweet. A perfect addition!

My husband usually hasno sense of humour wathcing AI but he actually laughed pretty good at the cowardly lion"ess" She was too funny. It was neat and uber weird at the same time. I still can't believe that's waht she did. I have been trying to mimic it for days to no avail!
