giveaway...boxes...dinner

I got these two little making memories boxes on clearance at Target several months ago. Today I finally embellished them. I put my new bazzill bling blossoms in the bottom one and haven't decided what to put in the top one yet, but they sure are cute! I put the little apple crate on top just because I liked it. Looks pretty darn cute on my little bookcase.
If you're looking for a quick and easy meal to make for dinner I tried this recipe of Paula Deen's tonight. It's called mexican chicken. Here is the recipe if you want to try it. The only thing I did different is add one more can of cream of chicken because I like it really creamy and it asked for 1 can of diced tomatoes. I accidental put in a can of tomatoes with mild green chili's. It worked out okay and just gave it more of a mexican flavor. I wouldn't put this on the top of my list for most favorite recipes, but it was good and fast. As you all know I'm so dang excited about National Scrapbook Day this coming Saturday, so I decided to share my excitement with all of you by having a giveaway. I ALMOST didn't part with this because it's really a great thing and I like it very much, so surely lots of you would enjoy it too. This little beauty comes with 40 spools of ribbon. Each spool has 4 yards with a grand total of 480 feet of pretty ribbon. Now that is ALOT of ribbon by golly! Even if you don't scrapbook, this ribbon can be used for many other things. If you would like to be in the drawing, just leave me a comment and I will have a boy choose a winner on Thursday night...and YES! lurkers are always welcome to comment on my blog anytime! It's all so pretty...you know you want it! :o)
Good luck ladies!
P.S. I got the pink purse and matching wallet at park and swap in East Mesa on Baseline and Signal Butte. They were very affordable! I don't buy expensive purses.
P.S.S. Did you know that you can click on the individual pictures in my slide thingies on my side bar and see them full size? I didn't until today...so stinking cool!

Wow, so cute and maybe it would turn me from a quilter to a scrapper (stop laughing Tember!!)BTW that Chicken recipe floated around in the 70's as a company dish, Chicken Tortilla but you made it the night before and thinned the soups with milk. Still make it from time to time for a crowd.

The boxes are awesome. I have just started using ribbon on my pages--I'm venturing out of "simple" and have discovered what ribbons and prima flowers can do! pick me, pick me!

Hi Joleen! Wow! I see in your comments that you are going to be published now. Awesome! You are so sweet. Always taking time to visit my blog and post. And you create such pretty things. Where do you find the time?
You are amazing AND generous!
Oh, and I answered your question at my blog, but here's the answer here, too. That was the Los Angeles temple. I'm going Friday to do sealings. Becca's going to do baptisms Friday for youth conference.
HUGS! Wendy

I'm really not posting to win the ribbon (my DH says I have too much of everything and that would include ribbon - LOL), just posting because I haven't commented for a bit on your blog. LOL Oh, you tagged me and I saw that. I'll get around to answering it eventually. In case you haven't noticed, I'm much better at checking everyone else's blogs and posting there than updating my own!!! LOL

Anyway.....sadly, I will NOT be scrapbooking on NSD. Can you believe it? I'm a CTMH consultant and I SHOULD be doing something to celebrate!! But alas, my daughters have a dance competition out of town that day, so we will be gone dancing!!! So, I will just say that I will be taking pictures to scrap on NSD instead of actually scrapping. LOL

Jolene... I came over to tell you that your comment to the RBC cracked me up. So very true... we have had both happen at the same time here. LOL

And isn't it amazing how everyone crawls out of the woodwork when you post a RAK? I may have to do it soon, just to see. ;)

Sorry I have been MIA lately, I still read but right around the time you moved, I all of sudden could not see any of your pictures anymore...makes me sad! :-( Because hello as all scrapbookers know the picture tells much, if not all the story. And you do such an AWESOME job of pictures and writing. Oh Well! Whenever I do get around another computer I 'catch up' on the pictures!
