QVC and new banner

During the 24 hours of scrapbooking/crafts on QVC I showed serious restraint and didn't purchase anything...until close to the end and I caved. I was impressed with the metallic markers that write on dark and light paper WITHOUT having to shake them or anything. They write great! Then of course, who could pass up on 160 sheets of bazzill cardstock? Not me! It was so cheap and something like 12,000 packs sold out in minutes. It has 4 "seasonal" collections in it. Winter, spring, summer, fall. I don't have much 12X12 paper since I scrapbook in 8 1/2X11 size. I do however plan to do the grand babies albums in 12X12, so I'm excited to have a little assortment of colors.
Did anyone notice my new blog banner/header? As much as I love my old one that Amy's husband Brian made me, I decided it was time for a change. That one had been there for the past 19 months. This new one is not digital. I have NO idea how to do digital, so I resorted to good old paper and scrapbook supplies. I have no idea how to talk someone though putting up a banner. I made this one, scanned it, reduced it's size, saved it to photobucket so I could copy it's HTML code. I have the old template on my blog, so I went in and found where my old banners code was, deleted it and pasted the new one in it's place. I previewed before I published to make sure I did it right. I know the new version is suppose to be way easier. I think it has a browse button and you just put in your saved image. I don't really know. So what do you think of the new banner?
I finally made it to the grocery store today. We were out of so much stuff and down to 1/2 roll of toilet paper, plus the family thought they needed to eat or something. Went in with one cart...came out with two...nearly $260 dollars later and I didn't get everything I needed...crazy!

You little shopper!! Hey how about pic's tomorrow. The family is just saying to go to a greenbelt in my neighborhood. Around 5:30. How about it? Sounds like fun, huh? That mud football looks like a blast. Was that in Maricopa?

Shame on you! I passesd on the cardstock and thanks to you I now have non-buyers envy! I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more supplies until I starting scrapbooking again. I am hoping with Allison back in school, I'll get some time on Wednesdays (my day off) to start back up again.

Love the new banner! You're inspiring me to come up with something creative for my own blog. Since I have no clue about the digital either, I think I'll do it your "old fashioned" way!

Jolene, my sister and I have a "system" for delivering the ULTIMATE compliment to each other. WE STEAL EACH OTHER'S STUFF!!! LOL! When we sit and paint together or make our gingerbread houses together we say: OH MY GOSH! THAT IS TOO WONDERFUL! I HAVE TO DO THAT ON MY HOUSE!!! And then we copy it to the last square inch! BEWARE JOLENE! I AM COPYING YOUR BANNER!!!! EVERY SINGLE INCH OF IT!!! And then I am changing the name, of course. I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT LIKE CRAZY! How did you do those adorable acorns?!?!? And is that your own printing!??? And those leaves! I LOVE FALL!!! WOW!!! I covet! I covet! I covet! ha. I do. When did you change it? Why don't I pay attention to little details like that? Lesson for the day: LOOK UP. ha!!!

p.s. I can totally relate to the shopping bill. I wait like four weeks to go shopping (peppered with tiny trips to the butcher so we have a meat for the barbecue) and everyone gets SOOOO tired of waiting for food to show up that when I finally go shopping I make a day of it and spend like 500.00 Shhhh ... don't tell my husband. ha. He gives me cash at the beginning of the month for the month's groceries so he has no idea how much I spend. I sure spend it all on that day, though!!! ha.

I too ordered that same cardstock off of QVC. I "dipped" into it last night.

Your new banner rocks!

Grocery shopping has become almost fun these days since DH started getting his $350 a month in bonuses for the local grocery store. It has led to some impulse purchases though.

I love the new banner too. And I am jealous about the paper. I can never seem to get enough of that. I also scrapbook in 8-1/2" x 11". I keep on wondering if I will switch over, but I haven't yet. I usually do 2 page spreads to get it all in.

that was a great deal on that cardstock!! I was good that day ;). I love the new banner, just love fall and especially have loved the name of your blog..

I love the new banner and think it is just so pretty! I LOVE that you scrapped it!

I missed the scrapbook day on QVC! I so wanted to see some of it.

Silly family...thinking they need food and toilet paper. Don't they realize the money would be better spent on scrapbook supplies? Gee whiz...just as selfish as my family is. Always wanting food and deodorant and shampoo and toilet paper. Sheesh!

Love,
Sue

The new banner is great...and I'm to the point now when I go to the grocery store...I don't want them to speak my total out loud...and I'm only one person. sigh.

Ugh! I hate the grocery store and the expense it brings!!! And then, of course, the feeling like you didn't really buy anything!! LOL Cute new banner! I really need to come up with something like that for mine, but I can't figure out the resizing thing (hence why mine is HUGE)! LOL I love your pens and Bazzill! So fun to get new stuff to play with!!!
