We are getting ready for the Superbowl. We're so excited to have Arizona hosting it this year. It's brings lots of business to the area. Mark was in the half time show for superbowl 30. He loved that. Our plans are to go to a baby blessing in town Sunday morning (my nieces baby girl)...come back here...go to church...then go to Rodney's house to watch the big game. He has the biggest TV. The whole family is meeting there and bringing food to share. I'm bringing a fruit tray with fruit dip, sausage ball, a chips and salsa. I had someone ask me for the salsa recipe. I posted it before. Look in the September 2007 archives. The sausage balls are AWESOME! Just roll up into small balls some jimmy dean breakfast sausage. Brown them up until they are cooked through. Pour over some musselman's apple butter, stir and warm for a few minute. Poke in toothpicks...done! So good...I'm honest. This may sound bad, but the superbowl is more about the food and the family and picking the best commercials than it is about the game to me. I don't have a favorite team. In my family we have Patriots fans and Giants fans. Perhaps I'll pick a favorite when I see them in uniform at the beginning of the game. Best looking one's will be my pick. :o) I have to giggle just a bit, because I know plenty of you are die hard fans and are thinking to yourselves..."dumb girl". It's okay...I can take it. :o)
So what are your plans for the superbowl? Are you hosting a party, going to a party? What?

I asked about the salsa! Thanks for letting me know where to find it! Miriam in WA
Can you believe that I don't have ANY Super Bowl plans?! I must be the only person in the valley without any football plans! Since my daughter will have my car all afternoon, I'm home. So nothing special here. I know... weird...
Have fun at your party, Jolene... I have to say the sausage balls sound awesome! Are they the kind of snack that you can't eat just one?? Have a wonderful time! : )

We have no SuperBowl plans. LOL I was even surprised to see who is in the game this year. :)No one in our house watches football, which is very nice, if you ask me.
We were supposed to go to my Mom's for the weekend but she's not feeling well so we're home revelling in being home. I hope that's okay to do!:)
Have fun at your SuperBowl party. :)

Go Patriots!!! We'll all be decked out in our Patriots gear today, even Olive has a little hat and bib. No real "plans" though. It's too late at night to go out to a party with the children, so we'll be watching from home-which I prefer anyway! I did get some hot wings for Kevin to snack on for the game and he's going to make quacamole as well. I'm avoiding all things spicy while I'm nursing so it'll be a boring snack fest for me!
Hey Jolene! Corey went with the Order of the Arrow to the stadium last weekend for a service project..go to my MySpace page to see pictures from it.....
Eh...I spent most of the day inside watching all the snow up here thinking how silly that is since we are the land of perpetual sunshine, and here we are having "weather" for the big game! It was lovely though, to have such clear streets the few times I braved it...No parties for me, I too, love the food and the commercials...oh well...maybe next year!
Pass me a meatball please! Those sound SOOOOOOO good.
And OF COURSE it's about the commercials!
What else is there?
ha.
Hey if you're not a fan, you're not a fan and you could do worse than pick based on what the uniforms look like LOL
I am glad the Giants won!
jolene- i hope you are feeling better today. i'm sorry you missed the blessing yesterday.
I was out having Vitos with Mary. I didn't even know who won till later. I did want to see the funny commercials though. That's okay, I had a great time chatting with big head.
