Last night was our camp kick-off meeting. I was in charge of setting up a display table that looked outdoorsy, camp like, with stars added too since they are our theme this year. Luckily my whole living room is outdoorsy, so I just borrowed from there and took stars from around the house. When I was getting ready to go Cole asked me "Mom, why is it that no matter what theme it is you are able to find what you need to decorate with out of our own house?" Then he said "They should pick a theme that you have to buy new things....oh wait...You have everything...never mind" LOL!
I also had to make a poster. I think it's cute, but when I got there I found out they changed the theme from "like a star" to like the stars" Oh well! The meeting was very informative. It's unbelievable the amount of work for many months before girls camp even gets here by so many people who volunteer their time and talents, let alone being away from their families for the 5 days of camp. I think it will be a truly amazing experience. (minus the sleeping hours)
I got home from my meeting late, so Mark took me out for a quick bite to eat on the motorcycle. When we got home he was helping me take off my helmet. Some how in the process my helmet spun around and hit me in the mouth. My top lip is swollen, my gums were bleeding. Everything is still swollen and hurts this morning. Mark feels just terrible about it. I feel bad that he feels bad because it was just an accident with an outcome of me looking icky. I just want it back to normal quickly! Good thing I'm working around the house today. So MUCH to do here before Chad gets home. I have several emails I have yet to reply to. If you are one of them, I'm sorry. I will get to it as soon as I can.
Happy Friday! I love Fridays!

You are so creative. I bet everyone there loved your display.
Sorry about the fat lip. On the bright side, it happened after the meeting instead of before.

I LOVE your table display so much! It makes me want to go back and redo our camp kick-off! :)
The display is wonderful!
Oh...that must have really hurt. My sister ran into a table corner when she was right at the table corner height, and gave herself a black eye...my mother had to not leave the house after a while because of all the dirty looks she got..."no REALLY, it was an accident!!" I hope it heals fast!
Your table display is SO fun. I have kinda gotten away from that-in PRimary but it is so engaging and even makes me want to go to your camp (ha ha, JK)
Once again, girl, you've got talent.
My real reason for commenting is to say that my heart is so happy for you and Mark. Chad is coming home. I can just feel your excitement. It will be such a blessing to not have his safty hanging over you, like a storm cloud. You will have God given peace.
Yet, Chad is in my prayers.
Very cute, Jolene.
Can't wait till Chad gets home. Is he home from overseas for good?
That display is so cute Jolene! I'm sure the girls are excited and looking forward to camp. I'm excited and I don't even get to go!!! I can hardly wait to see what the craft projects are.
It won't be long now before your handsome Chad is home.
I love the outdoorsy displa 'cuz I be an outdoor girl and that just makes me smile! I can't wait for Chad to be on home soil...and I'm so excited for you and the family that your boy is on his way home!!! Don't worry about getting back to my email...you have plenty to do... just take care of that lip of yours, girl!!! Mark owes you an icy cherry limeade from Sonic for that lip! : )
you ARE too talented! and so sad about your fat lip - you can tell everyone that it was your punishment for putting the wrong name on the poster...never mind that THEY changed it on you. BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Hey, I wanna see a picture of the fat lip! Come on Mark, was it really an accident?? Are you mad about something?? I AM JUST JOKING! I'm getting you back for all your stiff neck jokes. Love ya
I love the table and how you have everything in your house to decorate!!! I'm sorry about your fat lip, I hope it feels better soon!
I finished my 4x6 card for you yesterday. I will get in ready for the mail today.
I'm so glad to hear that Chad is on his way home. That is so exciting.

I'm sure Mark feels bad but it WAS an accident!
Laughing at "you have everything"!~
Your display table turned out adorable if I do say so myself! I can't believe Chad is gonna be home this week! Im so excited for you!!
Just surfed in through "Wendster"s blog, and wanted to tell you I love your blog. Your post with the bathroom pics is awesome...I just today almost ordered that shower curtain from country cottage decor. I collect little outhouses, our last house in the country had a real one, a two seater! The bathroom looks AWESOME!
That is an amazing display! I can't wait to see what you do with the girls at camp! Your stake is sooooooo lucky to have you! Sorry about your mouth. I hope it's healing quickly.
everything looks great, as always! I keep sneaking in to see if maybe Chad is home. . . so happy for you! And so very sorry about your mouth, I hope by now all is okay again!
