FYI...

FYI...when the doctor's after care instructions say DO NOT take off the steri-strips and to wait until they fall off (at least 5 days)

LISTEN!!!

Oh my heck! I had 3 criss crossed over each other and they were starting to come off. It was bugging me so I "helped" a little smidge. I know, I know...bad idea! Not only did the steri-strip come off, but so did the glue! Yep! You guessed it...bleeding!!! Plusalso it is very creepy looking to have a HOLE in your breast...not like a cut...an actual HOLE! I cleaned it up, put on some mela-gel to help it heal, put on sparkly band-aid and a sports bra to hold pressure. Somebody please tell me that this doesn't leave an ugly "hole" scar.

Lesson learned...follow instructions!!!! I will be good from now on...honest!

Just don't pull out your ta-tas and start shaking them around and no one will see your hole :) he he

Use some Aloe gel (I got mine at the Health Food store)directly on the "hole" or scar. I'm 2 years post op and the scars are barely noticeable (well, really... who am I gonna let see them anyway?!)

ACK! Ouch! Yikes! And Yick! And I have no idea about the scar but I'm thinking no. And buy a stick of coco butter and use it as soon as you can, it really does the trick!

Oh Jolene ... lesson learned right? I giggled when you said you put a sparkly band aid on it ... hopefully the hole will not scar. Take good care, M

phew...that's a bit much isn't it? Kind of makes me want to faint (just a bit though!) And you being a mother...I'll bet you always tell your kids to NOT pick at their sores (hehehe)!!! Aloe is a fabu idea...and a sparkle band-aid to match the sparkle in your eyes...how perfect!

Poke a hole in the other one and put some stuffing in there for a free.....okay whatever...just a bit of humor...hee hee :)

I have used scar Zone on my kids and it works pretty good...but you have to wait till its healed...so no more ripping!!!

Ya know...if you have an owie on your boob, no ordinary band-aid will do. A sparkly one is a must! I also have no plans to show the girls off to anyone, so even if it does scar, only me and Mark will know. :o)

I'm just so glad that you're okay and that there is no cancer. I had to go back through a few of Rhonna's comments to find your blog again and I am just so grateful to know that it was benign. Hugs!
