Fall stuff

Bear with me...I'm extremely tired and I broke a nail so there will be more type o's than normal.

I had the young women over tonight for a general conference trivia game/halloween party. We all had a great time! These girls never cease to amaze me with their knowledge, sweet spirits, and genuine love and kindness towards each other. I LOVE this group of girls! One leader brought over stuff to make caramel apples, one brought a pumpkin cake and root beer in a kettle with dry ice...so cool! I made sticky popcorn with cashews and reeses pieces. First I thought I burnt up my air popper, but it was just warning me to not put so much in at a time. The girls left with full tummies and bags full of prizes from the game. They are smart girls so they got a lot of prizes.

After they left I quickly walked around and snapped a few pictures of some halloween/fall decorations....at least the ones Mark didn't throw away in the move. Very sore spot right now since his idea of broken and my idea of broken are two totally different things. In Arizona when things are stored in the garage through the summer they tend to fall apart at the glue spots. Every year I fix them and put them out. What he saw was broken crafts and threw them away!!! They were all things I made from buying the wood, cutting, sanding, painting, putting together and sealing...mostly my bigger things that I made during my boutique years. They were A LOT of work. Several were my own designs that I don't have a pattern to. I'm still a tad bit bitter about this one. One day I will get over it...but today is not that day. I still love him to pieces, but dang! :o)

It sounds like you have a great group of girls.
Your decorations are so cute! Sorry about Mark throwing away some. I'm sure he was just trying to help. He does so many nice things for you and your family. I love your blog!

Darn it!! Sometimes I think husbands should be banned from certain things!! LOL But the decorations you have are cute and fun!!! I can't imagine how you must store everything from season to season!

YW sounds like a great night. Yummy food!! That popcorn sounds divine!! I'm a big fan of cashews and Reese's. LOL

Oh man, that would have upset me too! I think I've trained Kevin by now that he is not to throw anything away without checking with me first. He's seen the tears before and doesn't want to go back there!

The pieces you do have out are adorable though! That candy corn one is my favorite. so cute.

Your house is SO cute! I am so glad you are enjoying your girls so much. I know they are getting wonderful benefits from you also.
We have the same huge pumpkin man that you have in front of your garage!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HOME AND DECORATIONS WITH US. I HAVE SO ENJOYED IT. EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL. I ALSO NOTICED THAT YOUR DINING TABLE, BUT NOT THE CHAIRS, ARE EXACTLY LIKE OURS. WHAT ATTACTED ME TO OUR TABLE WAS THE END DRAWERS, GIVES IT SUCH AN ANTIQUE LOOK.
GIVE THINGS A BREAK FOR A FEW HOURS, AND REST.
BLESSINGS

Jolene, your decorations are so cute. I don't even want to imagine what your hubby threw away. Mine would have done the exact same thing. Hello...we live in Florida...just because the nutcracker man's arm's fall off during the summer doesn't mean he should be thrown away. That's why they made glue!!!

I'm so glad you're having fun with your group of girls. I just knew you would and I'm sure they love you too!!!

LOL! I am so sorry to laugh, but you so perfectly described a man vs. a woman's perspective of what is broken and what it VALUABLE AND VIABLE!! I really am sorry, though, that so much hard work was tossed.... : (

Jolene, it's wonderful to see how you are just so enjoying working with these girls. Remember how nervous you were? Remember how you doubted your ability to enrich these young ladies?? Look at you now! : ))

Loved the picts and just plain love you! Happy Fall!
