Sweet Baby Mark

Yesterday I took Brittany to the hospital to see the baby. I'm so glad I finally got to hold him. He is such a sweetheart! The bad part is that I'm not suppose to drive if it causes me pain....and boy did it ever cause me lots of pain. I am not planning on driving again for quite some time. It took so much out of me and I slept the rest of the day. Some of you asked what kind of surgery I had. Well.....I had breast augmentation and lipo by my arm pits to get rid of some weird breast tissue. This is something I've been thinking about for many years, but was too afraid to actually do it. After nursing 5 babies my breasts shrunk down to a bra size "nearly A"! Yes there really is a nearly A bra size. Heck! 6th grade girls were bigger than me. I really am not a flashy cleavage showing kind of girl. I was tired of being embarrassed and I just wanted to look like a woman and to have clothes fit right. Let me just say that this surgery has been very hard and painful to recover from. I can't even take deep breaths, so I'm still not doing very well. I'm not really surprised because I recover slowly from everything. Just taking a shower right now wears me out, so I'm taking things really slow. Okay now that extreemly personal bit of info is out there....back to the baby. He's doing so good and has been off the ventilator for a couple of days. They've had to keep his hands wrapped up because he keeps trying to yank the tube out of his mouth that keeps his stomach empty. The NICU nurses take such good care of him and are so good to Brek and Brittany. Tonight Brek is at work, so Brittany's dad came to pick her up so they could spend some time with baby Mark. I just really love that sweet boy and can hardly wait till he gets to come home.

Glad things are going well.

Now you go girl getting those boobies you always wanted! I'm jealous~my girl friend had a tummy tuck and she said it hurt sooooo bad but it's worth it after the pain is gone :)

Baby is precious!

AWWWWW he is adorable. I could just squeeze him. He is lucky I am not there because I wouldn't be able to resist pinching those cute cute cheeks.

Wow you are brave!!! Hope your pain goes away soon. I am sure holding baby will keep your mind off it. :)

I LOVE the pic of Brittany leaning over Baby Mark! So glad all has gone well on all fronts. Know that your family has prayers going up from Pennsylvania and take care of yourself so you have plenty of energy when BabyM comes home.

How sweet! Brittany looks like she's going to be such a good mom...you can just see the love in her eyes. And does your name tag say "Hello My Name is Grammy"?

Take good care of yourself and rest often (heavens knows you need the break!) You'll be up and around soon! When does Mark come home?

What darling pics of that sweet grandbaby of yours!!
Oh I can't wait to see the layouts you do with those.
Praying for him and his mom and dad. I'm sure it's hard having to leave him at the hospital.
I'd send big hugs to you, but it would probably hurt. LOL

Jolene ... Baby Mark is an absolutely beauty ... congratulations to Brek, Brittany, you and the rest of your family. Your little one will be home soon and you will just smother him with grandmotherly love. Thank you for sharing your experience with breast augmentation. It's a very personal topic and it allows all of us to learn. I wish you the best of luck with your recovery. Missy

He's a lot cuter than the hospital pic's that I took. I'm glad he's doing good. With how good he is doing do they still think he will be in there for a month?
