It's done!!!

I finally finished the closet...that doesn't mean I still don't have a few things to go through that came out of it, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This was a MUCH bigger job than I anticipated. I just wanted to post pictures real quick before I run up to Sam's Club to meet my sister Coleen. On Saturday I went to Home Depot and bought peg board and hooks. Cole helped me paint it and Mark helped me install it. Now I have my own little "store" in my closet. I love the way it turned out. It was like Christmas going through my stuff finding long lost items. It was kind of fun in an exhausting kind of way. Now I want opinions...should I put the red curtains back up or leave them down???

Well...as for the curtains, it depends, you might want to save them for the next mess that might rise, lol!

Looks great and again, I'm very envious of your room!! Ahhhh

Jolene - you're awesome! This looks great and is something that I desperately need to do in my studio. You've inspired me. Oh, and leave the curtain down for awhile - enjoy the view!

It looks great, I would put the curtains back up and pull them to the side. So that you always have the option to close them. I am going to make your cookies this week. I am in need of some chocolate. Those oreos really sounded good. Have you ever tried a fried oreo?

WOW! I'm impressed! It looks sooooooo great! I agree with Amanda, put the curtains up and pull them back to the side (a great excuse to buy some fabulous tie-backs, too!). Besides, it pulls some of the red to the other side of the room to tie it all together! JMHO!

I would leave them down but keep them handy so if things get out of hand you can cover it. With the curtains down when I come over to scrap it will be easier access to my stuff in there too. It was fun today even though I missed my son at school. I was at Mom and Dads in less than 2 minutes from when the bus dropped him off

Your closet looks great ... isn't it nice to find things you don't remember you bought? I would put the curtains back up ... I love the splash of red they give the room.

Put the curtians up but swag them at each side with pulls. That red will really pop! Looks good!

This is my 1st time to comment on your blog. I have been reading since July and then I went back in the archives to 'catch up.' You have been through some STUFF gurl! It was funny because when the picture popped up first I thought, 'dang, Jolene has a full blown store in her scrap room.' And then I read the post and you think it looks store like...cool set up! I say definitely curtains with cute ties or tie backs, 'it will add softness to the room'....am I an HGTV freak or what? I live in Yuma and looked for your familiar face at the Bazzill sale and at the convention, but you were on a way earlier schedule than I was, on that Friday.

I say put the curtains up because I love the splash of color, but tie them back so all of your hard work will show. I thought you had taken pictures in a store when I first looked! Good job girl!

your closet is amazing...someday i will get mine to look like that - i hope! i think i would put the curtains back up and leave them open a bit. that way you can get a glimpse that something wonderful is behind them.
