Whiner update

  • First off, I'm not looking for sympathy... honest! I just need to vent and update. My pity party is a party for one.
  • Still having tummy troubles.
  • Was awake from 2 a.m-5 a.m with tooth pain.
  • Called endodontist this morning-$945.00...I just really don't think so!!! If I had that kind of money sitting around, I'd have AC in my suburban by now.
  • Can't have it pulled because it's not the last tooth and I need it to chew...however I haven't been able to chew much for several days now.
  • DId you know that throwing up can make you throw your back out?...it totally can!..can't go to the chiropractor till I can be away from a potty for longer amounts of time.
  • A kind dentist in my ward called me in a prescription for penicillin tonight and plans to help me with my tooth on Monday. Not sure what exactly that means, but I'm beyond grateful.
  • My good friend Paula brought me yummy treats, a sweet and much needed message and took me to get the meds.
  • Been thinking about my time with Chad coming up and how hard it will be to say good-bye to him before he leaves for Afghanistan. My heart hurts just to think about it.
  • My parents and my sister Julie came over today to help pack. They all say I have way too much stuff. My dad said he started writing on the boxes "more crap from the living room" 18 boxes just from the bookcase in my scrapbook room. We have not even made a dent, but we're working hard. The house looks so strange.
  • I've never had a move be so painful. I feel such a great sense of loss.
  • My emotions through all of this are a huge mess. It's honestly been the hardest time of my whole life. SO surprised I don't have a ulcer.
  • On the plus side...I just may lose weight between it hurting to eat and going to the potty all the time.
  • Good things will come from this...I have to believe that. If I didn't I think I would have lost my marbles long ago. Gotta have faith...and lots of it!

Hello Sis! Sorry I didn't come over to help with everyone else. After reading your blog I can't afford my new foster baby, Angelique to get the creeping crud as Dad would put it. Sorry your sick and so far behind. It will get better when the move is behind you. I don't even know what to say about Chad. Tell him I love him.

Glad you are getting some help but you have a HUGE family from both sides there...CALL THEM!!!! If I didn't have the 2 day drive to get there I would surely come to help.
Too much for you to handle and its time to call out the calvary....So get on your bugle and starting tooting away.

Whine all you want! We'll listen and try to make you feel better.
I wonder if you're belly isn't nerves?

If the dentist could prescribe you some Ibuprofen (800mg) or Vicodin, you'll be in way better shape. The penicillin will kill the infection, but the Vicodin will ease away the pain and allow you to sleep.

Gosh darn it! I tell you what, I've spent some $$ on my teeth this year as well (why why why is it so expensive?!?!) And, the first thought that went through my mind when you said you were not eating was...hey, the girl's going to be skinny (horrible I know, but I was trying to reach for something funny) Good luck with everything, I wish I was closer, I'd bring you some mashed potatoes or pureed something and help you pack...

Friendly suggestion: do you have a dental school near you? You can get your root canal done for less money (though I hear things take longer).

Good luck with packing.

Keep your head up!!Seeing Chad is creeping by the day. Give him big hugs and remeber that he is having the same thought of leaving both of you as you are of him. He will be safe and has so many people behind him. We all have hollow, heavy hearts just thinking of you place.
My arms are around your heart holding it close and giving you strength!
Feel better!

You are not whining...it is good to vent...it helps a lot (in my humble opinion) Keep hanging in there...I am so sorry that you are going through such a hard time, but I admire the fact that you always are trying to find the good in bad situations. It will happen and this will all be behind you soon. Chad has a lot of folks praying for him and that is powerful...just think about that. Hope this helps a little bit.
Take care. Hugs to you!

Vebting is SI okay...it helps. Just hold onto your faith and a sense of humor. The only time I was in trouble during our many moves was when I lost my sense of humor! Really. Of course, having a darker and self deprecating SOH like I do lends itself to situations like moving! *laugh*
Rally those forces and LET them take over for awhile. You take care of YOU and get better.
I agree with the comment about the dental school but perhaps a dentist would allow payments over time...some do. You must not allow the tooth infection to make you sicker.
I worry about your nerves causing the stomach problems...I have been there. Heck, I am sure we ALL have. Just hold tight...things will get better. They always do. I am old remember! When one gets old they can spout all this philosphical crapola!! And I am just full of that! Okay, are you grinning yet??
I could stand on my head and sing show tunes for you! That would definantly you make you laugh!

Sending hugs, prayers and love,
Sue

Oh Jolene...I'm thinking of you. One thing I've learned being exposed to the LDS community is that they are a generous and caring group of people. Thank goodness for the dentist in your ward - hopefully he can get your tooth fixed. You know what always helps me when I'm overwhelmed? A nice hot bubblebath. I just shut the door and take a few minutes for myself. Take care...

Jolene, you must hav that tooth taken care of. That kind of infection can make you really ill!!!

Oh Jolene, I'm so sorry all of this is happening. I hope the dentist can help you figure something out. Hang in there.
